Wow, drove by last week and they’d dug and staked the trail between Preston and the next intersection……by Sunday saw that some concrete had been poured….speedy! Fun to see things taking shape!

While painting crosswalks and installing sidewalks may be nice, the fact remains that traffic travels at excessive speeds along both sides and the crosswalks are already marked with signs and nobody pays attention to them. The best long term solution is a separate bridge across the creek.

Thanks also go to Dallas Council Member Linda Koop for encouraging the County to take a major role in this project. Council Member Ann Margolin has a also been working on funding to develop a master plan for the trail as it moves west from Preston Road.
