Mural at Central Expressway

In early 2024, Friends of Northaven Trail commissioned Chera Creative to paint a series of murals at the base of the bridge across US 75, Central Expressway. This project introduces trail visitors and neighbors to some of the beautiful flora and fauna they will see on the trail: plants indigenous to our area, and the pollinators which depend on them for survival. Whether you’re riding your bike, walking your dog, or just driving by, these murals offer an opportunity to connect with art in an unconventional space. The artwork has improved the aesthetics of the bridge and is a wonderful addition to the City of Dallas.

The mural was funded by donations from the community, and a significant contribution from Lyda Hill Philanthropies.
