On Saturday, May 13 at 10 am, the Preston Royal library will have a story time on the trail at the Virginia Cook respite (St. Michaels intersection). Join for some fresh air, fun, and stories. All ages welcome!
Preston Hollow Village Fun Run Today!
The Preston Hollow Village Fun Run is at 4 pm today! The race will start and finish at the Freda Stern respite. If you are driving to the event, you can park at the JCC, 7900 Northaven Road, and walk through the gate at the southwest corner of the parking lot. This feeds directly into the respite.
Late registration and shirt/swag pickup begins at 2:30 pm at the Freda Stern respite.
The race begins at 4 pm.
After you finish, enjoy Frost Gelato, Kona Ice, and goodies from Central Market and Muscle Milk. You can also visit with the City of Dallas 311 Truck and our neighborhood watch, Smith Protective Services! And, of course, get your picture taken with the #DallasBIG sign!

If you haven't registered already, sign up here: http://www.playtri.com/northaven Sunday's weather should be perfect for the race, but Saturday's forecast is calling for thunderstorms, so we have moved Shirt/Swag Bag pick up to Athleta at Preston/Royal on Saturday from 10-12. You can also register at Athleta during this window if you haven't already, or sign up on race day beginning at 230 pm.

Join Cub Scout Pack #425 for a trail clean up on Saturday, March 25 at 9:30 AM! The Scouts will be meeting at the Edgemere intersection and picking up trash in both directions. The Scouts will bring the clean up supplies, so all you need to do is show up!
Kosher Chili CookOff Bike Corral
The Kosher Chili CookOff is this Sunday, March 19 beginning at 10 am. Entry to the event is right off the trail. Parking will be limited, so use the trail to walk or bike to the event instead! You can even leave your bike at our staffed Bike Corral. -FoNHT

Fundraising for DPD Bicycles
Help us raise funds for new Dallas Police Department bicycles. So far, funds have been raised to cover 3 bicycles and we're hoping to help get donations for 2 more, and about $2000 is needed to fully fund this project. These bicycles will be used by DPD officers on the trail! Please consider a donation of any amount to help this cause and support our officers. Volunteer Opportunities
Love the trail and want to get more involved? 2017 will be an exciting year for the trail, and we need your help. We are looking for volunteers and board member candidates to help with our many trail related activities, including fundraising, landscaping, clean up, marketing, advocacy, events, expansion, and more! Your involvement can be anything from an hour cleaning up the trail, working on landscaping projects, planning events, helping with the expansion efforts, fundraising, or anything else. It's been an exciting year for the trail! We've hosted seven trail events - two Park Days, two Movie Nights, Yoga on the Trail, our Light the Trail holiday event last week, and, of course, our second annual Family Fun Color Run 5K. We've also partnered with Eagle Scouts on trail projects, including the new Purple Martin birdhouses just installed at the Freda Stern respite. And we remain on track for expansion both west to Harry Hines and east across Central to connect with the White Rock Creek trail. Both expansion segments are in the design stage now and we are hopeful construction will start in mid or fall 2017. If you've enjoyed the events, or are excited about expansion, or just want to help keep the trail safe and clean, please consider making a tax deductible donation before year end.
