Busy Saturday: Morning Ride and Afternoon Informational Happy Hour
Join us Saturday Morning for a Trail Bike Ride.
Meet at 10:30am at Pensive and the Trail. Our very own Cary Fitzgerald will lead the group along the trail and end up at Flower Child (at Preston Royal) for a group lunch.
Or just join us for the lunch at 11:30.
Bring a friend and meet fellow trail users. 20% of the Flower Child sales will go to Friends of Northaven Trail. Just be sure to tell your server you are there for the Trail.

Trail Bike Ride Postponed
Due to Sunday’s storm, we are postponing this Saturday, October 26th’s trail bike ride. But don’t worry, we will get it rescheduled as soon as we can. Please be on the lookout for the new date and time.
Please be continue to be courteous to other trail users. Watch your speed, and announce when you're passing pedestrians and other cyclists.

Also due to the storm on Sunday night, our VIP Training, previously scheduled for Saturday, October 26, has been postponed.
We will send out an email once this event has been rescheduled and a new new location has been found.
Movie Night Rescheduled to September 29
The new date for Movie Night on the trail is Saturday, September 29 at 730 pm. Bring a picnic for dinner, and dessert will be supplied by our sponsors Corner Bakery and Shake Shack. Paddington 2 is the film. All details from our postponed event will be the same. See you on the 29th!
North Texas Giving Day
North Texas Giving Day, our biggest fundraising day of the year, is next Thursday, September 20. Please save the date and plan to donate in support of your trail. All funds go directly to trail enhancements, amenities, and events.

Movie Night
We look forward to seeing everyone tonight for Movie Night on the Trail! We’re showing Paddington 2. Bring a blanket, picnic for dinner, and enjoy desserts donated by our sponsors Corner Bakery Preston/Forest and Shake Shack Preston/Royal. The movie will start around dusk (7:40 PM). If anything changes due to inclement weather we will post updates on our Facebook page and on Twitter @NorthavenTrail.
Phase 2 Construction Status
Construction of Phase 2 of the trail has started! The construction is divided into two parts: Phase 2A (Preston Road to Cinderella Drive; near Midway) and Phases 2B-C (Cinderella Drive to Denton Drive).
Phases 2B and C are Dallas County led and are currently under construction. Dallas County estimates completion by late 2018 or early 2019. You may have seen some of the construction underway, or pavement where the trail is located. The trail is not being built in linear fashion and instead the contractor is moving up and down the easement in order to complete the project as efficiently as possible while at the same time being sensitive to Oncor requirements and related City of Dallas repairs. If the construction appears to have stopped anywhere in this phase please be assured that it has not been abandoned.
Phase 2A is City of Dallas led and construction of this phase has not started. The project bid is in the process of being finalized and the City anticipates construction will begin late summer/early fall, and should be compete by late summer/early fall 2019.
Additionally, please be aware that, even though the pavement is complete in some places, the trail is not yet open west of Preston.
Movie Night on May 12!
Join us on Saturday, May 12 at dusk for Movie Night on the trail! The movie will be shown near the Edgemere intersection (on the other side from Dealey Elementary) and will begin around dusk. Bring a picnic and enjoy desserts compliments of lead sponsor Corner Bakery Preston/Forest. We'll be showing Ferdinand. Visit our website or Facebook page for more information! All are welcome.
