Oncor Easement guidelines
The Friends of Northaven Trail works closely with Oncor to make sure we follow their rules and safety guidelines.
This includes what types of plants we add along the trail as well as the types and locations of other trail amenities like drinking fountains, respites, seating, etc.
While we would love to see more amenities along the trail, Oncor often needs to limit construction of amenities in order to provide access for its service vehicles and/or for unrestricted electricity delivery. We have fewer restrictions in the portions of the trail easement that are owned by the City of Dallas.
Here is a list of the currently approved list of native plants we can use along the trail. Others may be added at a later date.
